The independent short film festival known as the Manhattan Short Film Festival returns to The Media Theatre for the fifth year Monday and Tuesday September 26 and 27 at 7pm. The ten films chosen to be in the Festival not only entertain a global audience, but also allow the audience around the world to choose the winner. Audiences at The Media Theatre actually cast votes that count towards the eventual winning film. Two films from the 2015 Festival went on to be nominated for Academy Awards.

The films will be screened around the world from late September to early October, with over 100,000 film lovers in over 250 cities across six continents gathering in Cinemas, Museums and Universities for one purpose...to view and vote on the Finalists' Films in the 19th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival. Audiences at each film site are given a voting card upon entry and asked to vote for the film they believe should win. Votes are sent, by theatre management, to Manhattan Short headquarters and the winner is announced shortly after the worldwide festival closes.

Film Festival viewers and voters at The Media Theatre chose the short film "Kosovo" as their favorite last year. The film was eventually one of the two Oscar nominated films. Chile's Festival entry, "Bear Story", the animated film shown at Manhattan Short Film Festival in 2015, actually went on to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Audiences in Media saw it first, along with other viewers around the globe.

Manhattan Short is not a touring Festival; rather, it is an instantaneous celebration that occurs simultaneously across the globe, bringing great films to great venues and allowing the audiences to select their favorites. The Film Festival experience truly is about getting great works in front of as many eyes as possible and Manhattan Short offers the ultimate platform -- one that sees its films screened in Sydney, Mumbai, Moscow, Kathmandu, Vienna, Cape Town to cinemas in all fifty states of the United States and beyond. The Media Theatre represents one section of that audience each year.
The Netherlands Film Festival entry is "Hold On" about a problem during a concert
Tickets for the Festival at The Media Theatre September 26 and 27 are $10 each. Each of the ten films are shown on both nights, and the program is a bit over two hours long. It’s titled Manhattan Short because it started when Nicholas Mason, the creator of the annual event, mounted a screen to the side of a truck in Manhattan in 1998.

Call The Media Theatre at 610-891-0100 for information or visit mediatheatre.org. The Manhattan Short Film Festival is general seating. The concession stand and bar will be open for patrons. Doors open at 6:00pm with the Festival beginning at 7pm on Monday September 26 and Tuesday September 27.

The 10 Finalists being shown this year are:

"The Tunnel" (Norway) A family returning by car from holiday is stuck in a traffic jam that may put a permanent end to their trip, courtesy of the government.

"Carousel" (England) An older man gives wisdom to a teenager who offers a surprising response.

Jason Robert Brown's Tony winning score enhances "The Bridges of Madison County: The Musical", which is on stage at The Media Theatre through October 23. The beautiful borough of Media, Pa., has the region's only professional music theatre at 104 East State Street.

"The Bridges of Madison County: The Musical" is having its Philadelphia regional professional premiere at The Media Theatre. While a national tour did come through Philly a few months ago, this is the first time an area theatre has produced the show from 'the ground up', creating a set unique to The Media Theatre production directed by Broadway World Award winner Jesse Cline.

In the show based on the classic novel, Francesca, an Italian housewife played by Elisa Matthews,  meets Robert, a National Geographic photographer one afternoon and has a romantic affair with him while her family is away at the Iowa State Fair. Derek Basthemer makes his Media Theatre debut as Robert.

For tickets to the musical, call The Media Theatre at 610-891-0100 or visit mediatheatre.org. Photos by Maura McConnell.

"THE REAL STORY OF LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD" IS AT MEDIA THEATRE WEEKENDS SEPT. 24-NOV. 5

In this day and age, everyone knows there are at least two sides to every story. Now, you get to see the Wolf's point of view when it comes to the tale of Red Riding Hood.

"The Real Story of Little Red Riding Hood" at The Media Theatre presents two versions of the fable in a comedic fashion for ages 4 and up. The first version is the one we all know in which a wolf disguises himself as Grandma to attack the girl in the red outfit. But, what we don't know is the second version of the story in which the girl is totally annoying and Grandma makes a deal with the Wolf to teach her a lesson in humility.

The musical is on each Saturday morning at 11am and Sundays at Noon September 24 through November 5. It's the perfect treat for children who are being introduced to live theatre, and it's fun for the adults to see the humorous twist in the tale.

The show features a cast of young student actors from The Media Theatre's New School and Acting Classes. There are animals on stage, including a Deer, Skunk, and Rabbit, as well as a Butterfly and little bugs to add to the fun.

The 45 minute production has memorable lessons for children, and pleasant reminders for more mature audiences with songs such as "It's Nice To Be Nice". There is also a public service announcement in the production to not litter in public parks and campgrounds.

Other song titles are "The Chase", "The Plan", "That's The Way It Was", and "I'm So Pretty". Judy Wolfman wrote the script, with music and lyrics by David Reiser. Carol Sorensen designed the costumes, with Daniel Espie music directing and accompanying each performance on keyboard.

"The Real Story of Little Red Riding Hood" does not contain any frightening scenes and provides a fun way for young audiences to learn while being entertained. For tickets, call 610-891-0100 or visit mediatheatre.org.

Songs include "Ralphie To The Rescue", "Sticky Situation", "It All Comes Down To Christmas", and "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out, Kid!"

The story takes place in Indiana in the 1940's focusing on Ralphie, the boy who wants a Red Ryder BB Gun. He eventually learns that the holidays are not about what you have but who you have around you to share them with. There is a humorous sub-plot featuring Ralphie's father, referred to as The Old Man, who wins a leg lamp.

It was nominated for three Tony Awards for its 2012 production at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in Manhattan (Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score). "GENDER FLIP" CONCERT AT MEDIA THEATRE NOVEMBER 4

The students of The Media Theatre support the theatre's mission of music theatre and education. To that end, they are presenting a fundraising one-night-only concert on Friday evening November 4 at 7:30.

Titled "Gender Flip", the show features the youth singing songs written for, or usually performed by, the opposite gender.
Anna Rosenthal, who will sing in "Gender Flip"
Three of the young performers were recently seen in the theatre's critically acclaimed production of "Bridges of Madison County"--Gianni Palmarini, Anna Rosenthal, and Molly Sorensen. Several of them, including Veronica Garrubbo, Brianna Jaffe, and JD Triolo, were seen this past summer on the historic music theatre stage in "13". Both shows are composed by Tony winner Jason Robert Brown, who the students were able to meet this past summer when he appeared at the theatre during his own fundraiser.

The Media Theatre has hosted concerts by several of Broadway's finest in the past few years including Betty Buckley, Ann Crumb, and Andy Karl as well as Andrea McArdle.

"Gender Flip" gives the young actors and singers an opportunity to give back to Delaware County's only professional music theatre, which has been such an inspiration to all of them as they pursue continued education and performance opportunities.
This scene from "13" shows "Gender Flip" performers Molly Sorensen and JD Triolo
Even the theatre's Board Chair, Kate Jaffe, will get in on the act with her debut performance--if she reaches the sponsorship level she is seeking. Jaffe will sing only if enough of Media Theatre's families and supporters sponsor her act at $100 each. She is planning a solo performance from Broadway's hit phenomenon "Hamilton".

Other songs in the show, performed by the youth, include "Ring of Keys" from Fun Home, Billy Elliot's "Electricity", "I Can Do Better Than That" from The Last Five Years, and the iconic "Sweet Transvestite" from Rocky Horror Show.

Individual tickets for the "Gender Flip" concert are $20 each. The show is Friday November 4 at The Media Theatre at 7:30pm. Victory Beer is the corporate sponsor. For tickets, call 610-891-0100 or visit mediatheatre.org

MEDIA THEATRE ANNOUNCES CAST OF 'WINNIE-THE-POOH'S CHRISTMAS TAIL' NOV. 12 TO DEC. 30

There's a lot of goings on in the Hundred Acre Wood, especially because of Eeyore. It seems he has lost his tail so everyone gets into the act to help find it in "Winnie-The-Pooh's Christmas Tail", which is at The Media Theatre November 12 to December 31. The hour long musical has performances on Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at Noon each weekend, but there is no show on Christmas Day because Winnie-The-Pooh and the gang will be resting.

In "Winnie-The-Pooh's Christmas Tail" a very special Friend-and-Relation tells Christopher Robin a story of a Christmas Eve long ago (about last year) when Eeyore, the old gray donkey who lives by himself in the thistle corner, was absolutely miserable. It seems that he lost his tail and Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet got their friends together to organize a search.

The show is perfect for ages 4 and up, and is nostalgic fun for parents who love A.A. Milnes' lovable characters. The theme of the show is caring, sharing, and the importance of cultivating friends. It's a perfect introduction to live theatre for young audiences during the holiday season.

Roger Ricker, who has appeared in over 100 productions at The Media Theatre including both Broadway and Children's Series musicals, plays the role of Eeyore, the Old Gray Donkey. Ricker was seen last holiday season as the flamboyant town show director in "Jack Frost", and in last season's mainstage shows "Gypsy" and "1776".

The rest of the cast is made up of students from The Media Theatre's New School and Acting Classes. All of the principle roles are double cast, giving as many young actors as possible the opportunity to hone their skills in front of a live audience.

The entire cast is:

Winnie-The-Pooh......Holden Dubach & Sean O' Neill
Christopher Robin....Alex Pollard &  Carter Weiss
Eeyore.........................Roger Ricker
Piglet............................Aidan Fox & Bridget Henry
Rabbit..........................Marnie Clark & Hanna Brady
Tigger..........................Josh Atkinson & Zachary Divito
Kanga.........................Isabelle Martinez & Mary Kate Vink
Roos...........................Macy Devitt, Danny Pedersen, Maxwell Talbot
Owl..............................Alyssa Carlow & Shannon Clark

The Ensemble is made up of Yasmin Ahmed, Sarah Begley, Brooklyn Bonner, Charlie Carroccio, Grace Curry, Savannah Galloway, Adrian Henry, Maiah Islam, and Abitha Madesh.

"Winnie-The-Pooh's Christmas Tail" is on Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at Noon November 12 through December 31 (no show Christmas Day). Tickets are on sale now at 610-891-0100 or mediatheatre.org. Group seating available. There is one special Friday morning show on December 2 at 9:45am.

JASON ROBERT BROWN'S '13' MUSICAL IS AT MEDIA THEATRE IN JULY

During the month of July, everyone can be "13" again! That's when Jason Robert Brown's Broadway musical "13" is on stage at The Media Theatre.

Each weekend July 8 through the 31, the show features a story about Evan Goldman, who becomes a teenager and moves from New York City to a small town in the Midwest. If that change is not enough, he is also going through physical changes as he becomes a young man. "13" is about growing up and learning how to fit in, of course, but it's also appealing to adults who wish to take a walk down memory lane.
The Guys of "13": Josiah Jacoby, Dayshawn Hewitt, Michael Wells, JD Triolo, Matt Saylor, Leo Koncos, Jackson Sweeney, and Josh Atkinson

Talkin' Broadway, in David Edward Hughes' review of the show's Seattle production in 2011, said "It has abundant heart and humor, and it may be my favorite Jason Robert Brown score since Parade."

Hughes' review hits the mark, as the show's score is very appealing to baby boomers raised on American Top 40. Composer Jason Robert Brown sites Billy Joel, Carole King, and Paul Simon as popular artists who have influenced his work along with Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim.

"13" features a score which speaks to the teen years, but also songs which have a universal appeal such as "What It Means To Be A Friend", "The Lamest Place In The World", and "A Little More Homework".
The Gals of "13": Hannah Murphy, Chloe Millett, Gigi Furlan, Noelle Longenberger, Gigi Furlan, Tess Szathmary, Veronica Garrubbo, Jillian Donohue, Lexi Gwynn, Brianna Jaffe, Molly Sorensen, Toni Huegel, Cameron Scott Flurry, Alaina Guo, Hayley Hughes, Emily Mooney, Rachael McVey, and in front Fana Schoen and Marnie Clark
Dan Elish and Robert Horn wrote the book, which is a series of vignettes tying the story together as we watch Evan deal with culture shock and life changes. From school hallways to the movie theatre, each scene gives us more insight to each character represented.

"13" has something for anyone between the ages of 12 to adult as we are taken in by the humor, heart, and message of the production. For adults, the perfect comparison might be that "13" is similar in style to "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown". Both shows examine life through younger eyes and minds, but "13" is from an older perspective.

"13" is on stage at The Media Theatre July 8 through July 31 with performances on Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7pm, and Sundays at 3pm. It is directed by Jesse Cline. For tickets call 610-891-0100 or visit mediatheatre.org

MEDIA THEATRE RECEIVES 49 'BEST OF PHILLY THEATRE 2016' BROADWAY WORLD AWARD NOMINATIONS

After winning a total of 56 Broadway World Awards the past four years combined, including Best Theatre Company of Philadelphia three years in a row, The Media Theatre has received 49 nominations for "Best of Philadelphia Theatre 2016". This is the highest amount of nominations Delaware County's only professional music theatre has ever received in one single year. The nomination process is for shows which opened from October 2015 through September of 2016.
The Media Theatre has a total of four shows nominated for Best Musical ("Billy Elliot", "Bridges of Madison County", "Dogfight", and "1776") as well as a Best Play nomination ("To Kill A Mockingbird"). Even it's non-professional summer camp production was given notice, with the youth production of "13" receiving receiving a nomination for Best Non-Professional Production and two of its lead actors (students Lexi Gwynn and JD Triolo) receiving mention for their performances for the educational experience.
Bob Stineman as Atticus Finch in a scene from "To Kill A Mockingbird", which was nominated for 12 Broadway World Awards for Best of Philly Theatre 2016. Stineman was also nominated for his work in "Bridges of Madison County"
Those who visit the Broadway World Philadelphia site may now vote for their favorites in each category, somewhat like a People's Choice Award, which is why the process is of particular importance to The Media Theatre. "This is a recognition by the public which is highly valuable. These are not theatre critics or journalists who choose what they feel is best, but rather the theatre-goers, theatre community, and general public who allow their voices to be heard," said Artistic Director Jesse Cline, who is nominated for directing both "Bridges of Madison County" and "To Kill A Mockingbird".
The voting is open to the theater community locally, nationally, and internationally as well as to the general public. To vote, visit broadwayworld.com/philadelphia. Voting takes place through Dec. 31, with winners announced in January by Broadway World.
Nominations have been announced worldwide by the esteemed online theatrical media outlet Broadway World, which gives an up-to-date daily journal of the latest theatrical productions, happenings, and events from Broadway to London’s West End.
The Media Theatre is nominated alongside other theaters in the region, including The Walnut Street, Bristol Riverside, and more.
Two concerts were nominated in the Best Special Events category: "Jason Robert Brown in Concert" and "Kelly Briggs: Broadway and Beyond". And, for the first time, The Media Theatre was nominated in the Best New Work category for its hit youth production from February of 2016, "Peter Pan And Wendy: A New Musical" with music from composer Ben Kapilow.
In an ironic outcome, since The Media Theatre is known for producing musicals, its annual production of a classic play ("To Kill A Mockingbird") received the most nominations with 12. "Billy Elliot" walked away with 10, while "Bridges of Madison County", "Dogfight", and "1776" each received 7.
Four actors received two nominations each for their work at Media: Lexi Gwynn, Bob Stineman, JD Triolo, and Susan Wefel.

Best Musical: "Billy Elliot", "Bridges of Madison County", "Dogfight", and "1776"

It's not too early to register for The Media Theatre's Winter Semester of Acting Classes or New School which begin the weekend of January 7, 2017. Classes make a great gift for those interested in honing their stage skills.

The popular acclaimed Children and Teen Acting Classes will be returning, as well as the Adult Acting Class.

All classes are under the supervision of Broadway World Award winning Artistic Director Jesse Cline, who also instructs the New School which is a conservatory-style music theatre education program.

The New School, a separate entity from the Acting Classes offered at the theatre, is a weekly session with both acting and vocal music elements for two age groups. The younger age group meets on Mondays from 4:30-6:30 with the teen group meeting on Thursdays during same time period with Cline and Chris Ertelt, the resident music director.
Pictured:
Media Theatre New School teen students Cassidy Else, Noelle Longenberger, Josiah Jacoby,
Shannon Clark, Paul Vink, Alyssa Carlow, Isabella Martinez,
Josh Atkinson, Marni Clark, Jackson Sweeney, and Toni Huegel

The Acting Classes focus solely on acting skills and stage presence while also featuring improvisational theatre exercises for each age group.

All classes and the New School at The Media Theatre follow the Sanford Meisner Technique which basically states that 'acting is living as truthfully as one can under an imaginary circumstance'. This means that all actors should create as they will as honestly as they are able, without copying anyone else's performance or trying to be who they are not. It's a confidence booster while raising self-awareness.

Disney and fairy tales have become synonymous over the decades due to the animated cinematic treatments given to classics such as “Cinderella”. Disney’s “Cinderella” may be seen live onstage at The Media Theatre each weekend January 21 through February 19. GET TICKETS HERE

Released by Walt Disney Studios in 1950, the film is one of their most successful adaptations. The story of “Cinderella” has always been one that many relate to, so when Disney added its brand of humor and song to tell the tale of the young lady who dreams of meeting a handsome Prince the legendary story took on new life. Ever since, when “Cinderella” is mentioned it is Disney’s version that first comes to mind.

The Media Theatre has Disney’s “Cinderella” on stage Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at Noon. It’s referred to as the “KIDS” version due to its shortened length and a cast which features young actors in many roles. The stage adaptation includes the beloved songs such as “Bibbidee Bobbidee Boo” and “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” and is approximately one hour in length.

Humor plays a large part in this version, with plenty of opportunities for young audiences to laugh and have fun while feeling sympathy for Cinderella’s predicament. There are, of course, those silly stepsisters and the cute mice as well as audience participation when Cinderella dances at The Ball!

Adding to the humor of the show, the Wicked Stepmother is played by Roger Ricker, a veteran of over 90 productions at The Media Theatre. He was seen most recently as Eeyore in “Winnie The Pooh’s Christmas Tail” and the Broadway Series productions “1776” and “Gypsy”. Tim Haney, another veteran stage performer, plays the role of The King.

Disney’s live stage adaptation features Narrators who assist in moving the fast-paced musical along.

Some of the roles in Disney’s “Cinderella” are double cast, giving performance opportunities to students of The Media Theatre. The student actors are from the New School and acting classes.

The entire cast is:
Cinderella……..Mary Kate Vink/ Violet Wiley
Stepmother……Roger Ricker
Drizella (Stepsister)….Shannon Clark/ Cassidy Else
Anastasia (Stepsister)….Alyssa Carlow/ Hanna Brady

Godmother……Noelle Longenberger/ Hanna Murphy

Jesse Cline, the Artistic Director for Media Music Theatre Company which is the professional music theatre organization housed at The Media Theatre, received his fourth win for Best Director. “These honors are a testament to the great work being done here on State Street in Media,” he said. “We are happy to be a large part of the Philadelphia theatre community.”

The nominations were announced back in November for productions which were produced between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016. The Media Theatre landed 49 nominations from the esteemed online theatrical magazine, and is now the winner of 16 Awards for 2016. Broadway World has headquarters in NYC and regional offices throughout the USA, giving up to the minute reports on all that is Broadway, Off-Broadway, and for each major city's theatre district and community.

After nominations were announced, Broadway World opened the voting up in each region to public voting. Members of each theatre community cast their votes as well as theatre patrons. The awards are very similar to the nationally televised People's Choice Awards, as the public chooses the winner in each category.

Gunar Daniels, the winner of the 2016 Broadway World Award for Best Actor in A Musical, as he flies through the air in The Media Theatre production, which also received Best Musical, Best Director of A Musical, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress as well as Best Ensemble.

With the accolades from the 2016 Broadway World Philadelphia Awards, The Media Theatre maintains its position as one of Philadelphia's most talked about and appreciated live theatre venues, as the heralded work of Media Music Theatre Company presented extremely popular and critically acclaimed productions last year such as "Billy Elliot" and "To Kill A Mockingbird", which were the two shows receiving the most wins for Media or any other theatre in the region. “Billy Elliot: The Musical” received six Broadway World Awards, with the play “To Kill A Mockingbird” receiving a total of seven.

The Media Theatre was nominated alongside other professional theatres in the Philadelphia/ Wilmington region including Walnut Street Theatre, Bristol Riverside Theatre, People's Light and Theatre Company, and The Arden Theatre.

"Romeo and Juliet" is a timeless story of young love which has been imitated in countless ways over the decades, even catapulted into the musical theatre stratosphere with "West Side Story".

Yet, with all of its variations, the heart of Shakespeare's original prose still stands the test of time as the ultimate romantic adventure for lovers of all ages. And, truth be told, with its star crossed lovers at the forefront, "Romeo and Juliet" is an adventure --an adventure of the soul, a true vision of the heights (and depths) our love for one another might carry us.

The Media Theatre presents Shakespeare's original verse in a "Romeo and Juliet" that transports us to 1930's Verona, after an earthquake has ravaged the region and upheaval brings renovation, restoration, and a new look at the world surrounding the Montagues and Capulets.

On stage through February 19, director Bill Van Horn assembled a cast of professional actors from the Philadelphia region including Brandon O' Rourke as Romeo and Lexi Gwynn as Juliet.

The Media Theatre has one musical per season which is not quite as mainstream as the other titles on its marquee, filling a particular void for those interested in passionate works by top notch writers and composers who have pieces in their oeuvre which deserve to be seen but are rarely produced.

Artistic Director Jesse Cline has chosen the Broadway musical "Side Show" as this season's showcase for a little seen work.

"Side Show", with a book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger, is based on the story of Daisy and Violet Hilton. The Hilton sisters were conjoined twins who entertained on the carnival and burlesque circuit in the 1920's and '30's. Managed poorly, the sisters eventually meet a talent scout and his budding musician pal who make a deal to showcase the two women on the Orpheum Circuit. Bursting with hope regarding their newfound fame, the ladies hearts are still unfulfilled, as they cannot escape the reputation of being 'freaks'.

"Side Show" has featured roles throughout as the twins deal with their friends, such as The Tattooed Lady, Pin Cushion, and others. Each role is based on actual people who traveled from town to town on display as 'freaks' to earn a living.

The musical is a powerful reminder that everyone is unique, acceptance should be celebrated, and no one is ever really alone. The score features "Come Look At The Freaks" and the powerful anthem "I Will Never Leave You".

In director Cline's production, Daisy and Violet Hilton are played by Jenna Patuszek and Ashley Sweetman. Patuszek makes her debut on The Media Theatre stage, with Sweetman returning after appearing in "Les Miserables", "Ghost", and "Dogfight".

The New York Times says "Side Show is a wonderful musical....It burrows deep into your spirit."

The Media Theatre is producing the 2014 revival version of "Side Show". It is on stage March 8-26. For tickets, call 610-891-0100 or visit mediatheatre.org GET TICKETS

Subscriptions are now on sale. The season was announced by Jesse Cline, Artistic Director.

"Carousel" opens the season September 20 through October 22. The second musical by the legendary team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, it's the romance of Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan which takes center stage. Based on the play "Liliom", the show was named Best Musical of The Century in 1999 by Time Magazine. The score features the beloved classic "You'll Never Walk Alone" as well as "If I Loved You". With darker themes than most Rodgers and Hammerstein shows, it ran for 890 performances during it's original Broadway run in 1945, seeing its popularity growing with each decade.

November 15 to January 14 brings "Disney's Beauty and The Beast" to the Media stage. Professional actors will bring the tale of Belle and the Beast to life, along with Lumiere and the rest of the lively characters. With the well known "Be Our Guest" and the lovely Oscar winning title song, "Disney's Beauty and The Beast" is perfect for the holiday season.

The theatre's annual play is "Our Town" January 31 to February 25. Thornton Wilder's classic visits Grover's Corners between 1901 and 1913, highlighting citizen's everyday lives. The play is set in the surroundings of the theatre, with the lead role of The Stage Manager dealing with the audience, while actors use a minimal set to present the narrative. "Our Town" won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

March 14 to April 1 brings the regional professional premiere of "IF/ THEN". Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt's musical focuses on a woman who moves back to New York City for a fresh start. Upon the release of the cast recording in 2014, the album debuted at number 19 on the Billboard chart. The show ran for 401 performances on Broadway. The Washington Post stated that "IF/ THEN is an enjoyable, beautifully sung, and at times deeply touching experience."

Disney is back on stage April 18 to June 10 with the immensely popular two-time Tony winning musical "Newsies". It's based on the film inspired by the real-life Newsboys strike of 1899 in NYC. Harvey Fierstein's book combines with the music and lyrics of Alan Menken and Jack Feldman to create a high energy two hour show made famous for its spectacular choreography and youthful cast.

All Broadway Series shows at The Media Theatre are produced by Media Music Theatre Company, the professional music theatre organization which has propelled the theatre to 72 Broadway World Awards, over 20 "Best Of" honors from regional media outlets, and recognition from the Pennsylvania and US Senate.
